The CSR 140 is scalable, beginning with 1 dry ton of nutrient (manure) per day (50% moisture balance). The system can be scaled to process any size of excess nutrient load. In the dairy industry where there is excess moisture in the nutrient manure, the combined heat and power of the CSR 140 assists in the de-watering process by heat-treating the liquid for fertilizer or additional filtering for re-use. Any excess moisture that enters the system comes out as clean ammonia water.
Because a balanced feedstock has no effluent, the CSR 140 is ideal for addressing the risk of feeding livestock near waterways. The CSR 140 especially should be considered when AFOs are located near streams and lakes because of its capabilities to:
1. Rid the area daily of any collected manure, and
2. Systemically purify the co-product phosphorous-potassium (PK) fertilizer pellets for easy transportation to remote commercial markets.
